Professionals increasingly have the means to stand out in a crowd by owning a strategic marketing product. This can range from an annual event sponsored and hosted by your firm to a special survey or report that showcases your thought leadership in a niche industry. The opportunities with such products can be endless in terms of visibility, earned media, business development leveraging and community relations. However, they require a budget, time commitment and often third-party partners to support implementation.

In this discussion, we’ll hear from Betsy Storey-Bono of Concannon Miller about her experience with managing a leadership academy for a significant client group as well as from Christine Nelson of Ingenuity Marketing Group, who will outline the basics of owning a product and what it takes to leverage it for new business opportunities and growth. Key takeaways will include types of products that work for professionals, strategic partners to consider, typical investment and the reality of logistics. We’ll scale these considerations to different firm sizes so that discussion is practical for all participants.
