On 10 June, the first of its kind and the flagship event of the AGN Global-e-Connected took place. This continuous 19-hour virtual event kicked-off in Auckland, New Zealand, at 1 pm NZT before working its way around the globe and ending on the West Coast of America at 1 pm PT. The event substituted four AGN annual Regional Meetings.
In these uncertain and challenging times, it was paramount to stay connected with our members and focus on the need to deliver to our clients and people. The Event Programme provided AGN members with something unique, engaging and of value at no additional cost. These figures give you a snapshot of what was on offer and its success.
The event theme was 'Unlocking the AGN Value Key'. The AGN value key is a model which exhibits the enterprise “value elements” which needs to be progressed to build enduring value in a professional services firm.
The event's structure used multiple tracks; The two main tracks being Global and Regional. Content ranged from the impacts of COVID-19 in the industry, multiple keynote speaker sessions, workshops and roundtables through to regional updates and the first webinar in a series of five, of the 'Road to Value' programme - aimed at the NextGen community. Running parallel was a language track, which included Mandarin and Spanish content, and a social track that offered a fun element with games and quizzes. Regular e-coffee breaks allowed members to connect - an essential part of attending AGN Regional Meetings. Additionally, there was an interesting and developmental three-part case study, titled Marsala Mate, that transitioned between regions as we made the Journey Around the Globe.
Members worldwide were encouraged to attend any of the sessions, with CPE credits available for most. Members could dip in and out at any time, making it work around other commitments. Non-streaming activities included a kid's drawing competition to make them feel part of the event and to keep them entertained.
Global-e-Connected is a digital events programme, which we will run regularly in 2020 and beyond as necessary - Watch this space!
