A pre-admission peer review has recently been completed on a firm in Bulgaria (Sofia). Another such review is scheduled for the end of June on a firm in Egypt (Cairo).
The International Board has recently approved pre-admission peer reviews on firms in:

Board of Directors Meeting – the minutes of the last International Board meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the end of March 2008, will shortly be available for viewing on the website

Asia/Pacific Regional Meeting – was held in Macau over the period April 27 – 29, 2008; it was attended by some 30 representatives from all countries in the region apart from one. Highlights are:
- approval given for new regional corporate vehicle
(AGN International – Asia Pacific Limited)
- new regional Board of Directors voted in
- new Chair of the region is Ricky Wong (Wong Brothers) and Vice Chair is Richard He (China Regal)
- regional taxation committee approved with Vimala Devi (BSL Tax Services Pte Ltd) as Chair
- approval for creation of a regional website given
- very interesting and informative presentations given on the Chinese economy, trademark protection, corporate governance as well as examples in Tai Chi.
Photos of the conference and PowerPoint presentations of all sessions will be available on the regional website, which is currently being constructed. |
North American Regional Meeting – was held in Seattle over May 19-21, 2008; it was attended by some 215 delegates. Highlights are:
- a presentation by Cam Marston on “Four Generations in the Workplace”
- presentations on audit & accounting, business valuations, information technology, marketing tax, human resources and practice management
- members considered topics such as “Passing the Torch Without Getting Burned”, “Differentiation of Prospect Qualifications”, Recruiting Millennials Through Technology”, “Speaking on Speaking” and “Technology Trends and Data Extraction Tools”.
