AGN International is the largest accounting
association inthe world |
As a result of accounting organizations making a decision to become either a Network or an Association, AGN is now, according to the Accountancy Magazine, the largest Association in the world.
This opens a new horizon where AGN can attract new member firms to provide services across a global growing market.
This will provide additional opportunities to the current membership to become stronger and to increase client service on both a regional and international basis.
AGN is now represented in 89 countries, has 195 member firms, 455 offices and some 8,800 partners and staff, and recently there have been 5 firms joining us. They are from Argentina, Belgium, Bulgaria, Egypt and Romania. Welcome to them all!
|
| FYI -- A revised power point presentation on the AGN organization, which can be used as a marketing tool, can now be found at www.agn.org. Route: Members/Private Home/Members Only/ International/Marketing AGN and it is called ‘2008-Introduction to AGN’ |

Marlijn Folkers has joined the staff in the London office to work as Nick Blake’s Personal Assistant since the beginning of July 2008.
Marlijn has a degree in Journalism and Media Communications and also a Masters in European studies. She formerly worked as the personal assistant of the deputy editor of a British National newspaper. Marlijn feels very much at home in an international environment. She is Dutch, but only lived in The Netherlands for three years and still needs to ask for directions when in Amsterdam. She was born in Bahrain and after spending a year in Saudi Arabia, lived in Belgium, Spain, Ireland and the UK. |

At its meeting last March in Kuala Lumpur, Board members agreed unanimously that the AGN London office should request — and AGN members should continue to report — the details of engagement referrals — inbound and outbound – to member firms in other countries.
While there is no longer a fee imposed on those referrals, it is still vitally important that we maintain statistics on the amount of work being referred among members. This data is extremely helpful to gauge the strength of the organization, as well as to assist prospective members in determining if AGN would be the right fit for them. |
