Dear Colleagues,
During the last twelve months, the members of the Region have been discussing the most convenient option between network and association.
This kind of discussion has been the principal subject in other AGN regions in the world.
Finally, in a special Regional meeting last January, in Lima, Peru, it became clear why the AGN International Board of Directors resolved to continue being an association.
A small number of firms are unhappy with this decision. So, it is possible that in the near future, a few Central and South American firms may leave our Association, especially if they find another organization acting as a network.
The future is unknown, but my personal feeling is that our Region will continue being an active member of AGN International.
The next Annual Regional Meeting is planned to be held in Buenos Aires in conjunction with the AGN World Congress.
By then, I hope the future of the Region will appear clearer. Meantime, the committed firms in the region are looking forward to extending South American hospitality to AGN World Congress delegates for the first time since the organization has been in existence.
