MEETINGS

A meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Austria over the period March 23 & 24.  A number of important issues were discussed and decisions taken.  Draft minutes of this meeting are currently being reviewed by the Board prior to issuance to the membership.  These will be available next month on the AGN website (Route: Members/Private Home/Login/Members Only/International/International Board Minutes).  For your information, highlights of the Board meeting are as follows:

• Esther Tan appointed as Vice Chair (to become Chair at the Amsterdam World Congress)
• Chairs 2006 Annual Report approved
• Ratification of seven new member firms
• Approval given to changes in wording of Use of Name Operating Guideline
• Confirmation that Affiliate status will stop later this year (with certain exceptions)
• 2006 financials approved
• One member firm expelled for non payment of dues
• 2007 World Congress programme reviewed
• 2008 World Congress confirmed as being held in Buenos Aires, Argentina (October 22 – 24).  Agreed that a pre-congress tour be arranged in South America before the World Congress
• A review of the financing of the organisation be undertaken in the future
  Lengthy and detailed discussions held on the Network / Association status (results of these to be shortly informed in a separate communication to all international Contact Partners

Membership Manual – in order for your hard copy of the Membership Manual to be updated, regional firms profiles plus updated committees have now been mailed out to the membership.  This information can also be found on the regional pages in the AGN website.
