MEETINGS

The programme and registration form for the 2007 World Congress in Amsterdam can be accessed from the AGN website.  (Route: Members / Private Home / Login / Welcome Home Page – Important Dates – 2007 World Congress – Info).  Registration forms need to be received in the International Executive Office no later than August 17 to guarantee your hotel reservation.

The European regional meeting was held in Athens, Greece over June 7 to 9, where more than 100 persons attended.  You can see photos of the delegates at this meeting, as well as access all presentations made there, by going on the European website (www.agn-europe.org).

The Central and South American 2007 Regional meeting is being held over July 20 and 21 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, and is being co-hosted by our Bolivian member firm Servicios de Consultoria Integral Ltda (SCI Ltda).

The July 2007 edition of Businessbrief will shortly be mailed out to all members.  Accompanying this will be a copy of each tax brochure published by the European regional Tax Committee; an order form will be attached for you to request more copies.

GNS China  -  Patrick Lai has been promoted to General Manager.  Patrick has been with the GNS group for over 7 years.  He will take over the day to day operations in the Beijing office.  Patrick is an Australian qualified Chartered Accountant and combines his business knowledge with local market expertise in providing corporate advice and investment solutions to international and domestic clients.  Patrick is currently completing his Master of Business Administration at the Beijing University, a joint programme with the Fordham University in the United States.

PCAOB: Now included on the AGN website is a listing of all firms registered with the PCAOB or who are interested in doing so; this will be updated as the International Executive Office receives such information. PI Listing:  The listing of firms carrying Professional Indemnity cover, included in the website, has recently been updated.  (Route: Members / Private Home / Login / Members Only / International / Insurance)

Regulatory Environment:  A request has recently been sent to you to complete a small questionnaire on the Professional and Regulatory environment within your country.  Please do this by the requested date and return to the International Executive Office.  This information will then be included in the AGN website to form a database, accessible by all members.
