1st QUARTER 2016

Greetings to All,

Welcome to your Spring 2016 AGN Worldwide Update. Of course, this is a very busy time of year for many of us, with long hours and tight deadlines. Thank you for pausing to read the latest news from AGN.

I do encourage you please to take a look beyond the busy season, and to plan some self development and recreation for yourself and colleagues alike once things calm down a little. As a part of this, please do consider attending one of our AGN regional meetings. We have a great meeting program kicking off in Okinawa in April, and all our meetings are excellent opportunities for some professional development, to refresh business relationships and make new ones, and also to visit some great places too. People often get particular value by attending a meeting outside their own region, which you are always very welcome to do. Please see the further information below, visit our website for more details, or of course speak to your usual AGN contact.

Our new emphasis on business development (BD) continues. You can expect to see this feature in regional meetings, and also please do take a look in the BD section in our website members area. You will find there many new tools and templates of great value. And you will see still more "In it to Win It" content in the next few weeks with a detail guide to successful proposals. Please take a look also at the ever expanding Business Opportunity Bulletin (BoB) series. Which of these are relevant to your clients? What are the BoB ideas for your territory that AGN members should know about and could bring business your way? Please do contact Mireia Rovira for information on our BD activities.

The next few months will see us conclude this stage of our reworking of our service offering to members, with a greater emphasis on member value through knowledge sharing platforms and business performance tools - more of that later in the year. As this work concludes, we are now increasingly looking to build our membership. We believe that more members of the right quality increases the opportunities for all. Please do let us know if you are working with people around the world who share our commitment to high standards and great customer service, and you feel would benefit from and contribute to AGN membership. Any AGN team member will be delighted to receive your suggestions and answer your queries in this respect.
I wish you a successful and enjoyable busy season, and I do hope to see you very soon at one of our meetings around the world.

All the best.

Malcolm Ward, CEO
AGN International Ltd.

Staff Exchange

AGN has created a Staff Exchange Program whereby AGN member firms may send their talented staff overseas for a temporary work assignment, and for AGN member firms that wish to accept such temporary staff.

The objectives of this program are:

• Foster the exchange of best practices, knowledge, and skills throughout the association

• Provide member firms with a means to develop staff skills, expose them to new ways of working, motivate them, and ultimately assist them in reaching their full potential

• Special assignments for projects requiring knowledge of local legislation and/or language of the staff person's home country

• Opportunity to attract and retain best staff (similar to opportunities available in Big 4 firms)
