The Four Essential Roles of Leadership
Wednesday, June 5, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
7 hrs. CPE/CPD in Personal Development
Cost: $350 (includes all materials, continental breakfast. lunch and refreshments)

The Leadership Challenge: Effective mid-senior-level leaders are required to think bigger, create and implement strategy, align operational systems, execute consistently, and build a pipeline of other leaders. Without training, coaching and feedback, many leaders struggle to achieve the next level of results.

Effective leaders employ a simple, principle-based framework to help them know where to focus their time and energy in order to lead themselves, their teams, and the business.

This framework is made up of four essential roles:

Inspire Trust. Effective leaders are trusted. They lead with both competence—born from their capabilities and results—and character—drawn from their integrity and intent. Inspire Trust is at the core of the model because leadership effectiveness is built from the inside out.

Create Vision. Effective leaders have a vision. They think bigger. They translate organizational strategy and make it meaningful for their team, key stakeholders, and the organization.

Execute Strategy. Effective leaders know how to get the most important work done—through and with others. First, they align organizational systems to support their strategy. Second, they implement a consistent execution process.

Coach Potential. Effective leaders build a leadership pipeline by intentionally developing their team. They move from telling others what to do, to building capability in others through intentional feedback, coaching, and reinforcement.

As our senior leaders align their behavior to these Four Essential Roles, they are measurably more effective and able to consistently achieve their most important results. This session will cover the last two Essential Roles and is a continuation of the ELW at NARM 2018.
